[News] Seventh Lair is now available on Steam

Novectacle (now renamed NOVECT) released Seventh Lair on Steam today, playable in English, French, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, as well as Japanese. The game and its soundtrack is purchasable on Steam here. Seventh Lair, originally called Seventh Coat, was a free April Fool’s game released in 2013. Seventh Lair is a story of a man, Dark†Knight, who creates indie games and posts updates on the game in his own website, Royaume Heven. One day, he receives a letter from a big fan, and it greatly sparked him to create a new game. Check out my review of Seventh Coat for more details. Also, the Royaume Heven website complements the story of Seventh Lair, so be sure to take a look at it to better understand the game. There will be a Nintendo Switch port of Seventh Lair some time in 2023.

[VN Review] The House in Fata Morgana Novectacle Collection

Novectacle released a new packaged version and 4K re-master of its games—The House in Fata Morgana Novectacle Collection.

The Novectacle Collection includes: Fata Morgana no Yakata, -A Requiem for Innocence-, Mujou no Erasmus –The Erasmus Two-Faced Stories-, Seventh Coat, and last but not least, The Live in Osaka! Fata Morgana live concert. The Novectacle Collection does NOT include the Reincarnation chapter in the –Collected Edition-/Dreams of the Revenants Edition. Basically, the Novectacle Collection has every game it created except for the Reincarnation chapter.

Since the Novectacle Collection is similar to the Dreams of the Revenants Edition, I’ll give a brief run down of what this newly packaged version offers.

Seventh Coat is a free side game by Novectacle released on April Fools’ Day of 2013.

Dark†Knight (nickname), who’s ridiculed and frowned by society, is a game creator, particularly free indie games. One day, a young girl who’s a fan of his work sends him an ardent e-mail. At the age of 27, living on the brink of society, his life changes once he meets that bright young girl, and as she expresses her feelings about his games, he begins to give birth to a new game in the year 2013.
